| 2 pound | 905 g | pork ham hocks |
| 0.5 cup | 120 ml | ale beer |
| 0.5 teaspoon | 2.5 ml | dried sage, crushed |
| 0.5 teaspoon | 2.5 ml | marjoram |
| 1 bunch | scallions, chopped | |
| 2 | bay leaves | |
| 2 | garlic cloves, minced | |
| 1 cup | 240 ml | water |
| — | sea salt and ground black pepper | |
| 0.5 teaspoon | 2.5 ml | cayenne pepper, or more to taste |

- Place all of the above ingredients in the Instant Pot.
- Secure the lid. Choose the "Meat/Stew" setting and cook at High pressure for 45 minutes. Once cooking is complete, use a natural pressure release; carefully remove the lid.
- Remove the ham hocks from the Instant Pot; allow them to cool enough to be handled. Remove the meat from the ham hocks and return it to the cooking liquid.
- Serve on individual plates and enjoy!
