Banana Mousse with a Thin Base

A no-bake banana mousse served over a thin crushed-biscuit and butter crust.

Ingredients

1 пакетPlain biscuits (may be cocoa or vanilla flavoured)
1 пакетButter, but margarine also works
Walnuts, as much as we have or love (other nuts may be used to taste and availability)
Some kind of liqueur, only to add aroma and only if we like
2-3Bananas
1 пакетWhipping cream powder
Icing sugar
Sour cream (or strained yogurt)

Instructions

The biscuits are crushed and ground walnuts and melted butter are added to them. After they are mixed well, take the little cups in which the dessert will be served. If we want it to have a more presentable look, we can use tall-stemmed glasses. Take enough of the mixture to cover the bottom and lightly press it against the bottom so that a very thin 2-3 millimetre base, similar to a crust, is formed.

Take the bananas and purée them together with the icing sugar, mix them with the sour cream. The whipping cream powder is whipped to stiff peaks according to the instructions on the package, added to the banana-milk mixture and stirred carefully with a spatula in one direction only; now you can add the liqueur or, if we have and prefer, 1 ampoule of vanilla.

The resulting mixture is placed over the base, which may have been left to set in the fridge until the mousse is prepared. Here we can already give free rein to our imagination in the arrangement and decoration. With the help of a piping bag we can place the mousse over the base, add pieces of banana or pieces of chocolate to it, decorate with a liquid sauce – whatever we like.
