
Basil and Garlic Bread
A fragrant dough kneaded in the bread machine with fresh basil and garlic, then baked in the oven and optionally topped with yellow cheese.
Ingredients

| 1 tablespoon | 15 ml | salt |
| 1 teaspoon | 5 ml | sugar |
| 1/3 cup | 80 ml | oil |
| 1 cup | 240 ml | fresh milk |
| 1/3 cup | 80 ml | water |
| 1 | egg | |
| 1 | clove garlic | |
| — | basil | |
| — | yellow cheese (optional topping) |
Instructions
Ingredients: • 3 cups flour • 1 packet dry yeast • 1 tbsp salt • 1 tsp sugar • 1/3 cup oil • 1 cup fresh milk • 1/3 cup water • 1 egg • 1 clove garlic • basil
Steps Step 1: Warm the milk and dissolve the yeast in it together with 1 tbsp flour and the sugar - set aside until it rises. Step 2: Sift the flour and mix it with the salt. Separately beat the egg, mix with the oil and the water. Step 3: On the bottom of a bread machine container pour the water mixture, then the leaven and finally the flour. Add torn basil leaves and one clove of garlic cut into slices and start the bread machine on the dough kneading program. Step 4: When the dough for the basil and garlic bread is ready, transfer it to a rectangular tin greased with oil beforehand. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 35 minutes, optionally sprinkling with yellow cheese 10 minutes before the end.
