Instructions
Matcha Green Tea Powder is hard to mix with water, so I started making my Matcha Green Tea using my Vitamix by adding boiling water, then putting it on Variable Speed #1, then adding the Matcha Green Tea Powder, and sweetening with Stevia. BEAUTIFUL results!
Right around the time that I began drinking Matcha Green Tea this way, I discovered Coconut Milk Powder (see product links below), so I began adding that to my morning cup of Hot Matcha.
I had been making Matcha Green Tea with Hot Water, Stevia, and Coconut Milk Powder for a while when I read the following article: http://raypeat.com/articles/articles/gelatin.shtml So I added Gelatin to the recipe: http://blenderlady.com/misc-information/ (find a link to the Gelatin I buy in the "Foods" section).
Then I read this article on "Bulletproof Coffee": www.bulletproofexec.com/how-to-make-your-coffee.../ so I began adding Butter and MCT Oil to my recipe. SO YUMMY! This is also when I gave what I had been drinking the name "Bulletproof Matcha Green Tea".
- Put the hot water into the Vitamix and set it on Variable Speed #1.
- Pour in the gelatin while the hot water is whirling (it never "gums up" if you pour it slowly into the whirling hot water).
- Add the Matcha Green Tea, then the rest of the ingredients.
- Put the lid on and ramp it up to high only for a few seconds.
- Pour it all into your mug and enjoy! It is frothy, creamy, tasty, healthy, and awesome.
My "Bulletproof Matcha Green Tea" is frequently my breakfast, and holds me until lunch on most days.
