Butter and Rakia Rolls
Soft yeast rolls dipped in melted butter, with a little rakia in the dough, served with cheese, yogurt, tomatoes and more.
Ingredients
| 250 мл | Lukewarm fresh milk |
| 2 супени лъжици | Sugar |
| 1 супена лъжица | Salt |
| 1/2 кубче | Fresh yeast cube |
| 1 чаена лъжичка | Baking powder |
| 1/2 лъжичка | Rakia |
| 50 мл | Oil |
| 450 г | Flour |
| 150 г | Melted butter |
Instructions
Dissolve the yeast and sugar in the lukewarm fresh milk and let the yeast activate, then add the salt, oil, baking powder and 1/2 tablespoon of rakia. Gradually add the flour and knead a medium-firm dough. Leave to rise for about 15-20 minutes. Then divide the dough into 2 balls. Roll each ball into a small sheet and cut it into 10-12 triangles. Roll each triangle into a roll shape and do the same with all the dough. Dip each roll in the melted butter. Let the excess butter drip off and arrange the rolls in a baking tray. Leave them to stand for about 1-2 hours. Cover them with a clean cloth and bake them after 2 hours. Once the 2 hours have passed, bake them in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 15 minutes or until they turn golden. Then serve the rolls with cheese, yogurt, tomatoes and others of your choice.
