🍽️ Makes 12
Ingredients
| 1/2 cup | 120 ml | soft cow's butter |
| 120 g | cream cheese (Philadelphia type) | |
| 1 1/3 cups | 320 ml | flour |
| 2 | eggs | |
| 300 g | finely chopped ham (author used turkey) | |
| 240 g | cream cheese with spices (Philadelphia type) | |
| 6 tsp | 30 ml | grated Gouda cheese |
| 50-70 g | grated Gouda for sprinkling on top |
Instructions
- From the dough ingredients make a dough and divide it into 12 balls. Grease the wells of muffin tins well with butter (they must be non-stick) and place one dough ball in each. Shape the dough to follow the shape of the well, i.e. to cover the bottom and sides. Leave the shaped "baskets" in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile prepare the filling by mixing all the ingredients except the cheese for sprinkling.
- Fill the dough nests with the filling, taking care not to overfill so there is room for sprinkling with the grated Gouda. Make sure the cheese is inside the nest, not outside it.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let the finished bites cool slightly in the muffin tins for about a minute or two. They come out very easily with the help of a plastic knife. Good to eat warm or cold.
