Instructions
8 Quart / 6 Quart · SERVINGS: 4-12 · READY IN: 36min · PREP TIME: 10min · COOK TIME: 16min
- Select Sauté mode on Normal on pressure cooker; add olive oil, onion, and green bell pepper to inner steel pot of pressure cooker. Sauté until onion is translucent, 3 to 5 minutes.
- Add sirloin steak, salt, and black pepper to onion mixture; cook and stir until steak is lightly browned, about 3 minutes. Pour broth over steak mixture.
- Lock pressure cooker lid in place and set the steam vent to Sealing. Select pressure cook (Manual) and cook on High pressure for 7 minutes. Allow pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes before turning to release remaining pressure. Unplug pressure cooker.
- Cut the connected bread rolls in groups of 4. Slice horizontally through the middle to remove the top of the roll and set aside. Place the bottom part of rolls in the CrispLid fryer basket.
- Arrange steak mixture on the bottom part of rolls. Lay half the provolone cheese on top of the steak.
- Set CrispLid trivet in inner steel pot of pressure cooker and set fryer basket on top of trivet.
- Set CrispLid on top of inner steel pot and plug in. Set to 350°F (180°C) and cook cheese steaks until cheese has melted, about 2 minutes. Remove lid and add bread top. Cook cheese steaks for 1 minute more. Lift the lid using the handle and set it on the silicone mat.
- Repeat with remaining rolls, steak mixture, and provolone cheese.
Mealthy Tip: Eye of round steak can be substituted for the sirloin steak.
