| 1 cup | 240 ml | rice (preferably Arborio or jasmine for creaminess) |
| 1 ½ cup | 360 ml | broth or water |
| ½ cup | 120 ml | milk or almond milk |
| 2 tbsp | 30 ml | butter |
| ½ cup | 120 ml | shredded cheese (cheddar or parmesan) |
| to taste | salt and pepper |
Instructions
- Initial Preparations: Melt the butter in the rice cooker. Saute a small chopped onion and minced garlic for extra flavor. Stir occasionally until the onion becomes translucent.
- Cooking the Rice: Add the rice to the rice cooker, stirring to coat the grains in butter. Pour in the broth and milk. Add salt and pepper. Close the lid and set the rice cooker to cook.
- Serving Suggestions: Let the rice rest for a minute with the lid closed to allow the cheese to melt completely. Serve this delicious cheesy rice alongside steaks, ground beef recipes, or your favorite fried foods for a comforting meal.
For an alternative method, you can use rice cooker parmesan rice for a different twist on this dish. Enjoy your creamy delight!
Serve it alongside:
- Grilled or baked meats such as chicken, pork chops, or steak.
- Barbecue dishes like ribs or brisket can also be wonderful pairings.
