
Chinese Turkey Rice Balls
Not authentic Chinese but built on bold Chinese flavors - an American-style fusion dish.

Ingredients
| 1 lb | 455 g | ground turkey |
| 1 | small onion, minced | |
| 2 cloves | garlic, minced | |
| 1/4 cup | 60 ml | fresh spinach, minced |
| 1 small knob | fresh ginger, minced | |
| 2 tbsp | 30 ml | soy sauce |
| 1 tbsp | 15 ml | dry sherry |
| 1 tsp | 5 ml | honey |
| 1 | egg, lightly beaten | |
| 1 cup | 240 ml | short grain rice, soaked in water for 20 minutes then drained |
Instructions
This is a great recipe that is not authentic Chinese but has some bold Chinese flavors. Yields 2 dozen rice balls.
- In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients, but not the rice.
- Wet your hands and shape the meat mixture into balls.
- One at a time, roll the balls in the rice.
- Steam the balls for about 30 minutes over high heat.
- Serve with Chinese mustard.
