Christmas Walnut Cookies
Spiced walnut cookies threaded with woolen string so they can be hung on the Christmas tree.
Ingredients
| 100 g | sugar |
| 2 pcs | eggs |
| 300 g | walnuts |
| 10 g | cinnamon |
| 5 g | nutmeg |
| 1 pinch | cloves |
| 1/2 | zest of lemon |
| — | flour |
| — | butter |
Instructions
Beat the sugar with the eggs. Add the finely ground or crushed walnuts, the cinnamon, the nutmeg, the cloves, the grated lemon zest and enough flour to form a firm dough. Roll out into a sheet and cut out the cookies with a glass or a cutter. Place on a greased tray and bake in a moderate oven. While they are still warm, thread them with a needle and woolen string so they can be hung on the Christmas tree.
