
Crock Pot Teriyaki Chicken (without teriyaki sauce)

Ingredients
| 3-4 pounds | 1.4–1.8 kg | boneless chicken thighs |
| 3/4 cup | 180 ml | sugar |
| 1/4 cup | 60 ml | soy sauce |
| 6 TB | apple cider vinegar | |
| 3/4 tsp | 3.8 ml | ground ginger |
| 1 tsp | 5 ml | minced garlic |
| 1/4 tsp | 1.3 ml | pepper |
| 4 tsp | 20 ml | corn starch |
| 4 tsp | 20 ml | cold water |
| — | cooked rice |
Instructions
- Place the chicken in the crock pot on low heat.
- Combine the sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, ginger, garlic and pepper in a separate bowl. Mix and pour over the chicken.
- Cook on low for 4-5 hours until the chicken is tender. Remove the chicken and take the fat out of the reserved liquid in the crock pot.
- Place the liquid in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Combine the cornstarch and water until smooth and gradually stir into the saucepan until it is thick.
- Pour the chicken over cooked rice and cover with your sauce. Enjoy!
