Ingredients
| 30 ounces | 850 g | frozen french fries |
| 3 tablespoons | 45 ml | unsalted butter |
| 3 tablespoons | 45 ml | all-purpose flour |
| 2 cups | 480 ml | milk |
| 8 ounces | 225 g | Swiss cheese |
| 1 cup | 240 ml | diced cooked ham |
| 1/4 cup | 60 ml | diced dill pickle slices |
| 1/2 tablespoon | 7.5 ml | yellow mustard |
Instructions
- Bake the french fries as directed on the package.
- Meanwhile, prepare the sauce: melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in the flour (it will be thick). Pour in the milk and stir to combine; it will thicken slightly as it heats.
- Add the cheese and keep stirring until completely melted. Continue stirring until the sauce is thick, then remove from heat.
- To assemble, top the fries with the diced ham and diced pickle, drizzle with the cheese sauce and mustard. Serve warm and enjoy!
