When to prick out edelweiss They are pricked out when they reach a height of 2 cm. They are moved outdoors in the autumn or the following spring.
When edelweiss flowers indoors Grown from seed, edelweiss flowers in its second year.
What determines how beautiful the edelweiss will be Keep in mind that the size and quantity of the hairs that make edelweiss so attractive depend strongly on the growing conditions.
How altitude affects it At an altitude very different from that of its natural habitats, the hairiness is far from being so dense and fluffy, and the edelweiss takes on a rather more ordinary appearance. As the saying goes, every stone weighs most in its own place.
