General Tso's Chicken
Preparation + Cook Time: 30 minutes. Note: This is best served with vegetables and rice. If you want to create a spicier version, break several pieces on chili peppers in half and add them to the sauce.

Ingredients

| 2 teaspoons | 10 ml | cornstarch |
| A pinch | salt | |
| 1 teaspoon | 5 ml | sesame oil |
| 2 tablespoons | 30 ml | rice vinegar |
| 1/2 cup | 120 ml | soy sauce |
| 1/2 cup | 120 ml | chicken broth |
| 3/4 cup | 180 ml | brown sugar |
| 1 teaspoon | 5 ml | ginger (minced) |
| 2 teaspoons | 10 ml | garlic (minced) |
| 3 | green onions (chopped) | |
| 6 | dried red chilies | |
| 1 tablespoon | 15 ml | vegetable oil |
| 1/3 cup | 80 ml | potato starch |
| 2 pounds | 905 g | chicken thighs (skinless, boneless and chopped into bite-sized pieces) |
Instructions
- Coat the meat with potato starch and arrange them in the cooking basket. Cook for 25 minutes at 400 degrees. Shake the basket every 5 minutes during the cooking process.
- Prepare the sauce. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high flame. Add ginger, garlic, dried chilies, and green onion. Stir for a minute. Add a pinch of salt, sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, chicken broth, and brown sugar. Bring to a boil. Cook for 3 minutes while frequently stirring.
- In a bowl, put 1/4 cup of cold water and 2 teaspoons of cornstarch. Mix until dissolved. Add the mixture to the sauce in the pan. Stir and cook for a minute.
- Serve the meat along with the sauce.
