
Grilled Spice-Rubbed Chicken Drumsticks
Juicy chicken drumsticks coated in a smoky-savoury spice rub and grilled over direct heat until the skin is charred and crisp.
Ingredients

| 2 tbsp | 30 ml | olive oil |
| 1 tbsp | 15 ml | smoked paprika |
| 1 tsp | 5 ml | garlic powder |
| 1 tsp | 5 ml | onion powder |
| 1 tsp | 5 ml | salt |
| 1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml | black pepper |
| 1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml | chili powder or cayenne (optional) |
Instructions
- Pat the drumsticks dry with paper towel. Drizzle with the olive oil.
- Stir together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper and chili powder, then rub the mixture all over the chicken to coat evenly.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high (about 400°F / 200°C) and oil the grates.
- Grill the drumsticks over direct heat, turning every few minutes, until the skin is browned and crisp on all sides.
- Move to indirect (medium-low) heat, cover and cook until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Rest a few minutes and serve.
