⏱️ Prep: 50 min
Ingredients
| 1/2 cube | fresh yeast | |
| 3 | rosemary sprigs | |
| — | sea salt | |
| — | garlic powder | |
| 1 pinch | sugar | |
| 2 tbsp | 30 ml | olive oil |
| 1 tsp | 5 ml | marjoram |
| 800 g | flour | |
| — | baking paper |
Instructions
Serves 4. Preparation time: 50 min. Additional info: plus cooling time.
- Dissolve the yeast in 450 ml lukewarm water and leave it, covered, for 15 min to activate. Pick the leaves off the parsley and 2 sprigs of rosemary and chop them.
- Knead a smooth dough from the dissolved yeast, the flour (add it in stages so the dough doesn't become too firm), the sugar, the olive oil and 2 tsp salt. Towards the end of kneading, add the chopped herbs and the marjoram and knead once more. Cover the dough and leave it 2–3 h in a warm place to rise.
- Divide the dough into 4 portions on a floured surface and shape 4 baguettes. Place them on a paper-lined tray, cover them and leave them another 30 min to rise.
- Pick the leaves off the remaining rosemary sprigs. Moisten the baguettes with water, sprinkle them with salt and rosemary and bake 20–25 min in an oven preheated to 200°C. Then leave them to cool.
