Ingredients

1 teaspoon5 mlred chili sauce
2 pinchesorange food color
2 teaspoons10 mlginger-garlic paste
1/4 teaspoon1.3 mlred chili powder
1/8 teaspoon0.6 mlsalt
2potatoes (washed, peeled and patted with paper towels to dry; cut into strips and partially boiled for 5 minutes)
2 tablespoons30 mltomato ketchup (for the sauce)
2 teaspoons10 mlred chili flakes (for the sauce)
2 tablespoons30 mlhoney (for the sauce)
1/2 teaspoons2.5 mlblack pepper powder (for the sauce)
2onions, sliced into half rings (for the sauce)
2 tablespoons30 mlolive oil (for the sauce)
1capsicum, cut into strips (for the sauce)
1 tablespoon15 mlsweet chili sauce (for the sauce)
1 tablespoon15 mlred chili sauce (for the sauce)
1 1/2 teaspoons7.5 mlginger-garlic paste (for the sauce)
2 teaspoons10 mlsoy sauce (for the sauce)
2 teaspoon10 mlvinegar (for the sauce)
sesame seeds (for garnishing)
spring onion greens (for garnishing)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix to combine the red chili sauce, ginger-garlic paste, salt, pepper, and food color. Add the potato strips and toss until coated. Arrange them in the cooking basket. Cook for 20 minutes at 320 degrees. Toss the potatoes halfway through the cooking process.

  2. Prepare the sauce. In a bowl, put the red chili sauce, tomato ketchup, pepper powder, sugar, vinegar, and soy sauce.

  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high flame. Add the onion rings and cook for 3 minutes. Add the capsicum rings and ginger-garlic paste. Cook for 4 minutes while stirring often. Add the sauces and mix until combined. Stir in the pepper and chili flakes. Cook until the sauce dries up a bit. Stir in the air-fried potatoes, sesame seeds, spring onion greens, and honey.

  4. Serve the dish while hot.
