
KFC Copycat Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits
Homemade KFC-style buttermilk biscuits made in the air fryer.
Ingredients
| 1 1/2 cup | 360 ml | all-purpose flour |
| 1 teaspoon | 5 ml | salt |
| 1 tablespoon | 15 ml | sugar |
| 1 tablespoon | 15 ml | baking powder |
| 1/3 cup | 80 ml | vegetable shortening |
| 2/3 cup | 160 ml | buttermilk |
Instructions
- Start by adding the flour to a large mixing bowl.
- Add the teaspoon of salt.
- Add the teaspoon of sugar.
- Add the tablespoon baking powder.
- Add your vegetable shortening.
- Add your buttermilk.
- Mix well together.
- Then spread the batter onto a floured surface.
- Roll out the dough.
- Cut out your dough with a biscuit cutter.
- Then place the parchment paper into the air fryer. Spray with the non-stick cooking spray. Then place the biscuits onto the parchment paper.
- Set the time for 4 minutes; after 4 minutes flip and cook for another 2 minutes.
- After, brush the biscuits with melted butter.
