Lavender

Ingredients

Instructions

(Reconstructed — the source page contained only the title, no descriptive text.) Lavender is a sun-loving, undemanding perennial. Location: full sun, warm and sheltered from wind. Substrate: light, well-drained, calcareous (slightly alkaline) garden soil; it dislikes wet, heavy soil. Cultivation: can be grown in a large pot; sow in spring or plant young seedlings after the last frosts. Watering, feeding: keep rather dry — water sparingly and do not over-fertilize, as too much moisture and rich soil reduce the fragrance. Other care: after flowering, trim the plant lightly to keep it compact and encourage new growth; do not cut back into old woody stems. Overwintering: hardy outdoors in mild regions with winter protection; in harsh climates keep frost-free and bright.
