McWaffle Stuffed Egg Sandwich

| 2/3 cup | 160 ml | prepared all-purpose baking mix |
| 1 | large egg, fried | |
| 2 slice | cheddar cheese | |
| 3 slice | thin slices deli ham | |
| to taste | maple syrup (optional) |

Experience the delight of a sandwich and a waffle in one, featuring a perfectly cooked egg nestled between crisp waffle layers.
- Preheat waffle maker. Prepare baking mix as directed on the package.
- Spray waffle maker with cooking spray. Ladle about 1/3 cup batter into waffle maker, spreading batter so the bottom grids and waffle divider are thinly but completely covered.
- Place the fried egg onto batter leaving a thin margin around edge. Place 2 slices of cheese on the egg and add 2 slices of ham onto the top.
- Pour the remaining batter on top of the filling and along the sides. Close waffle maker and flip.
- Cook until golden brown and crisp, about 7 to 8 minutes. Transfer the stuffed waffle to a plate. Serve with maple syrup, if desired.
Makes 1.
Tip:
- A scrambled egg can be substituted for the fried egg. Cook according to your desired doneness.
