
Minced Meat and Yellow Cheese Loaf
A savory meatloaf baked in a loaf tin, layered with bacon, ham and yellow cheese.

Ingredients
| 1 kg | minced meat (pork or mixed) | |
| 1 head | onion | |
| 1 pc | egg | |
| to taste | ground black pepper | |
| 1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml | ground cumin |
| 200 ml | tomato sauce | |
| 200 g | bacon | |
| 200 g | yellow cheese | |
| 200 g | ham | |
| — | salt |
Instructions
- Mix the minced meat with the finely chopped onion, the egg, salt, black pepper and cumin. Cut the bacon into thin, long strips and arrange them along the bottom and walls of a greased oblong loaf form.
- Mix 2/3 of the minced meat mixture with the tomato sauce and spread it in a 1 cm thick layer in the form, over the bacon. On top arrange thinly cut strips of ham and yellow cheese.
- Again a layer of the minced meat and alternate until used up. The last layer is of minced meat without the tomatoes.
- Fold in the ends of the bacon and arrange a few more strips on top, to cover the minced meat and cheese loaf. Brush with a little tomato sauce and place to bake in a moderately heated oven.
- Turn out the baked meat loaf onto a large plate and serve in slices with a garnish of your choice.
