Blueberry Lemon Whip

A tangy-sweet fruit whip of blueberries, banana, and fresh lemon, churned in the Ninja CREAMi.

Ingredients

1 cup240 mlfrozen blueberries
1 cup240 mlripe banana, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch slices (about 1 medium banana)
1 tablespoon15 mlfresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon5 mllemon zest
1 tablespoon15 mlhoney or agave nectar (optional)

Instructions

  1. To a large bowl add the banana slices and with the back of a kitchen utensil, such as a ladle or potato masher, mash the bananas until smooth. Add frozen blueberries, fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, and honey or agave nectar if using. Whisk or stir gently to combine.
  2. Make sure the Swirl Pint base is securely closed. Pour the mixture into an empty Swirl Pint up to the MAX FILL line. Place the storage lid on the pint and freeze for 24 hours.
  3. Remove the pint from the freezer and remove the storage lid. Place the Swirl Pint into the outer bowl. Install the Creamerizerā„¢ Paddle onto the outer bowl lid and lock the lid assembly onto the outer bowl. Slide the bowl assembly onto the motor base and twist the handle right to raise the platform and lock in place.
  4. Select SOFT SERVE, then select FRUIT WHIP.
  5. When processing is complete, hold the release button to the left of the outer bowl, twist the bowl handle, then pull the bowl away from the unit to remove the pint. Install the dispense lid and place the pint back into the unit, aligning the blue tabs. Twist the white pint base to the OPEN position. Pull the handle to dispense into a bowl or cone and serve immediately.
