Ingredients

1 1/2 cups360 mlwhole milk
1 cup240 mlheavy cream (or dairy-free alternative)
1/4 cup60 mlhoney (or maple syrup)
1 tsp5 mlvanilla extract
1 cup240 mlfresh or frozen cherries, pitted and halved
1/4 cup60 mldark chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Mix the Base: In a mixing bowl, combine the whole milk, heavy cream, honey, and vanilla extract. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and the honey is fully dissolved.
  2. Freeze the Mixture: Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container. Ensure it does not exceed the fill line. Freeze for at least 24 hours on a level surface.
  3. Process the Ice Cream: After freezing, remove the pint from the freezer and place it in the Ninja Creami. Select the Ice Cream function and process until creamy.
  4. Add Mix-Ins: Once processed, create a tunnel in the center of the ice cream using a spoon. Add the halved cherries and dark chocolate chunks into the tunnel.
  5. Re-Spin for Creaminess: Return the pint to the Ninja Creami and use the Mix-Ins function to incorporate the cherries and chocolate evenly. If needed, use the Re-Spin function for a creamier consistency.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Scoop out and enjoy immediately, or store leftovers in the freezer.

Tips: Use fresh, in-season cherries for the best flavor and nutrition (if using frozen, ensure they are pitted and thawed). Choose dark chocolate with at least 70% cocoa. Adjust the amount of honey or maple syrup based on the natural sweetness of the cherries.
