Parmesan Honey Pork Loin
🍳 Cook: 300 min
Ingredients
| 1 (3-4) lb | boneless pork loin roast | |
| 2/3 cup | 160 ml | grated parmesan cheese |
| 1/2 cup | 120 ml | honey |
| 3 Tbsp | 45 ml | soy sauce |
| 1 Tbsp | 15 ml | dried basil |
| 1 Tbsp | 15 ml | dried oregano |
| 2 Tbsp | 30 ml | chopped garlic |
| 2 Tbsp | 30 ml | olive oil |
| 1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml | salt |
| 2 Tbs | 30 ml | cornstarch |
| 1/4 cup | 60 ml | chicken broth |
| 1 tsp | 5 ml | sugar |
Instructions
- Place roast in slow cooker sprayed with cooking spray.
- In a bowl combine cheese, honey, soy sauce, basil, oregano, garlic, oil, and salt.
- Pour mixture over the top of roast.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until thermometer reads 160 degrees. (Slow cookers have a tendency to dry out meat if you're not careful, so be sure to check for doneness at around 4 hours, or even sooner if your crock pot cooks very hot.)
- Remove meat, place on platter, and keep warm.
- Strain juices from slow cooker to remove solid pieces and pour into a small sauce pan. (A mesh strainer works best, but a colander or slotted spoon works too. If you don't get every single piece out, that's ok.)
- Mix cornstarch and chicken broth together. Add into strained juices and stir until thickened over medium heat. Add in a teaspoon of sugar.
- Slice roast and serve with glaze.
