Perfectly Grilled Steak
Rib-eye or New York strip steaks marinated in Worcestershire and Montreal seasoning, then grilled to your ideal doneness.
🍳 Cook: 13 min
Ingredients
| 2 | boneless rib-eye or New York strip steaks, trimmed | |
| 2 tbsp | 30 ml | olive oil |
| — | Montreal steak seasoning | |
| — | Worcestershire sauce |
Instructions
- Sprinkle Montreal steak seasoning on each side of the steaks.
- Place the steaks in a large resealable bag and pour Worcestershire sauce over both sides. Marinate at least 1 hour, preferably at least 4 hours.
- About 20 minutes before grilling, remove the steaks from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature.
- Heat the grill to high. Just before cooking, brush the grates with olive oil. Grill the steaks until golden brown and slightly charred, 4 to 5 minutes. Turn and grill about 5-8 more minutes, depending on how you like them.
- Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer: medium-rare 135°F, medium 140°F, medium-well 150°F.
- Transfer to a cutting board or platter, tent loosely with foil and rest 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes: If you prefer not to marinate, simply brush olive oil on both sides before grilling.
