
Pizza Cones
Serve immediately as a starter, light lunch or dinner with a bowl of tomato sauce and a glass of light wine or beer. Served with a glass of ayran they are the ideal offering for any children's party!
Ingredients
| 1 pack | Bella pizza dough |
| 12 slices | Thinly sliced pepperoni-type salami, or ham |
| a large pinch | Savory (chubritsa) or preferred seasoning |
| 1-2 tbsp | Olive oil, for drizzling |
| — | Tomato sauce, for serving, optional |
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200C, or 180C with fan.
- Line a shallow, wide tray with baking paper.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured work surface, roll it lightly and cut out circles using a cutter or a glass - a little larger than the salami or ham slices.
- Place a slice of salami on each circle of dough and sprinkle lightly, to taste, with savory (chubritsa) or your preferred seasoning.
- With a sharp knife make a cut from the centre to the edge of each circle and roll it into a cone.
- Arrange the rolled cones apart from one another on the paper-lined tray, trying to keep the edge of the rolled cone underneath.
- Drizzle with olive oil and bake in the oven preheated to 200C, or 180C with fan, for 10-15 minutes, or until golden.
