
Red Wine Pomegranate Sangria
A festive red wine sangria with pomegranate juice, rum, citrus, and a splash of ginger beer.
Ingredients
| 3 tbsp | 45 ml | honey |
| 1/4 cup | 60 ml | hot water |
| 1/2 cup | 120 ml | white rum |
| 750 ml | Merlot red wine | |
| 2 cups | 480 ml | 100% pomegranate juice |
| 1 whole | seeds from pomegranate | |
| 1 whole | orange, sliced thin | |
| 1 whole | lime, sliced thin | |
| — | ginger beer | |
| — | ice (for serving) | |
| — | pomegranate arils (seeds), for serving | |
| — | lime slices, for serving | |
| — | orange slices, for serving | |
| — | curled orange peel, for serving |
Instructions
- In a large pitcher or punch bowl stir together honey and hot water until honey is dissolved.
- Stir in white rum, red wine, and pomegranate juice until well combined.
- Add pomegranate seeds, orange slices, and lime slices. Refrigerate until cold. To Serve
- Fill glasses with ice. Garnish glasses with additional pomegranate seeds, lime slices and orange.
- Fill glasses 2/3 of the way full with Red Wine Pomegranate Sangria and top off with ginger beer.
