
Rice and Beer Cake
A two-tone loaf cake made with a beer-based batter, layered with a spiced rice-and-cocoa mixture.

Ingredients

| 200 g | sugar | |
| 50 ml | oil | |
| 150 ml | beer | |
| 1 sachet | baking powder | |
| 240 g | flour | |
| 3 pcs | vanilla | |
| 100 g | rice, boiled and cooled | |
| 2 tsp | 10 ml | cocoa |
| 2 tsp | 10 ml | powdered sugar |
| 4 tsp | 20 ml | fine oat flakes |
| — | nutmeg | |
| — | cinnamon |
Instructions
Prep 20 min. Cook 40 min. Total 60 min. Serves 6–8 pieces.
- Beat the eggs with the sugar. Add the oil and the beer while stirring continuously.
- Sift the flour with the baking powder and the vanilla and, sifting again, add in parts to the wet mixture. Stir.
- Mix the boiled rice with the sugar, cocoa, cinnamon, nutmeg and oat flakes. Pour half of the cake batter over them. Stir very well.
- Into a tin pour first the white mixture, and over it — the rest.
- Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 40 minutes.
