Sekihan is a Japanese dish of glutinous rice steamed with azuki beans, traditionally served on celebratory occasions and sprinkled with black sesame.

| 0.67 cup | 160 ml | glutinous rice |
| 2 tbsp | 30 ml | azuki beans |
| 0.75 cup | 180 ml | water |
| 0.33 tsp | 1.7 ml | salt |
| — | black sesame, to sprinkle |
Instructions
Cook time: 40 minutes. Servings: 2.
Method
- Wash the beans and drain.
- Add the beans and water in the Instant Pot.
- Close the lid and cook on low pressure for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, wash the rice and drain.
- Do a quick release when cooked.
- Open the lid and add the rice and season with salt.
- Close the lid and cook on low for 3 minutes more.
- When finished cooking, do a natural release.
- Serve sprinkled with black sesame.
