0.33 cup79 mlglutinous rice
0.67Chinese sausage, diced
1shiitake mushrooms, diced
0.5 cup120 mlliquid (from soaking mushrooms)
0.67 tbsp10 mlcooking oil
8Shu Mai wrappers
2 clovesgarlic, chopped (aromatics)
0.33 tsp1.7 mlsugar
0.5 tsp2.5 mlsoy sauce
0.33 tbsp5 mloyster sauce
0.33 tsp1.7 mldark soy sauce

Method:

  1. In a dish, add the sticky rice, aromatics, and seasonings, and the liquid + water into the sticky rice mixture. Make sure the rice is covered with water.
  2. Set a trivet inside the Instant Pot.
  3. Place the dish on top of the trivet and close the IP.
  4. Cook on High for 30 minutes.
  5. Then do a natural release.
  6. Remove the bowl.
  7. To wrap: place some sticky rice mixture on the middle of each wrapper and wrap nicely. Continue until you finish the filling.
  8. Steam the wrapper on a high heat for 8 to 10 minutes.
  9. Serve.
