
Smoked Barbecue Chicken Legs – On the Grill
Melt-in-your-mouth chicken legs slow-smoked on a gas grill with wood chips, dry-rubbed and finished with a sticky wet barbecue sauce.

Ingredients

| — | dry BBQ rub |
| — | salt |
| — | pepper |
| — | wet BBQ sauce |
| — | smoke wood chips |
| 1 | foil pan |
| — | aluminium foil |
Instructions
- Soak the wood chips in water for one hour prior to grilling.
- Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with a paper towel, then coat all over with the dry BBQ rub, salt and pepper.
- Turn all the burners of your grill on high and place your foil pan with the soaked wood chips over the flame to start smoking.
- Next, add the chicken to the grill, making sure it is not over direct heat (set up for indirect smoking).
- Smoke/grill the chicken legs for 1 1/2 hours.
- Finally, add the wet BBQ sauce during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
- Allow the chicken to rest for 15 minutes before serving.
