Smoking Gun Burger
A juicy beef burger cooked to order and then infused with wood smoke under a cloche using a smoking gun for a backyard-barbecue flavour indoors.
Ingredients
| — | ground beef patties |
| — | salt and pepper |
| — | burger buns |
| — | cheese slices |
| — | toppings of choice |
| — | wood chips |
Instructions
- Season the beef patties generously with salt and pepper.
- Cook the patties on a hot grill or skillet to your preferred doneness, adding cheese to melt over the top at the end.
- Build the burger on toasted buns with your chosen toppings.
- Set the assembled burger on a plate and cover it with a smoking dome or cloche; connect the smoking gun hose.
- Load the smoking gun with wood chips, turn it on and ignite the chips so smoke fills the dome.
- Once the dome is full of smoke, turn off the gun and let the burger infuse for about 30 seconds, then lift the dome and serve straight away.
