Sourdough Bread in the Bread Maker
A classic white-bread recipe for the Mediya bread maker, adapted by replacing the yeast with homemade sourdough starter and increasing the flour.
Ingredients
| 330 ml | Water |
| 24 g | Oil |
| 6 g | Salt |
| 24 g | Sugar |
| 12 g | Milk powder |
| 520 g | Flour (increased for the sourdough version) |
| — | Sourdough starter (a little more than half the risen starter, in place of the yeast) |
Instructions
I use the basic recipe from my bread maker - Mediya. First - it rises on the basic dough program, which is 1.50 h. Second - I bake the bread on the basic program for classic bread, 3.15 h. I will send a photo of the classic bread - I replace the yeast with sourdough. I make sourdough in a large jar with a screw lid. I put a little more than half the quantity of the risen sourdough, while increasing the amount of flour from the basic recipe. The procedure is longer, but the bread turns out tasty. I am sending a photo; on the side I have written down the amount of flour for a large sourdough loaf.
