Steamed Cheesecakes

Diet cheesecakes without frying, prepared in a double boiler for 25-30 minutes. This dessert for children or adult family members may be topped with any berry syrup, jam, preserves or honey. 8 servings. Author: Larisa1970, 15/9/16.

🍳 Cook: 25 min

Ingredients

450 gCottage cheese
100 + 30 (if the batter is too wet) gFlour
2 pcsEggs
40 gSugar
1 tsp5 mlBaking powder for the dough
50 mlStrawberries with sugar (to apply)
2 tbsp30 mlHoney (to apply)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the food for the cheesecakes. The main ingredient - the cottage cheese - should be dry.
  2. Pass the cottage cheese through a sieve.
  3. Beat the eggs.
  4. Add the sugar, salt and eggs to the cheese and stir.
  5. Sift the flour into a dough (100 g) with the baking powder.
  6. Mix the dough well. (If the cottage cheese is wet and the dough comes out liquid, then add another 30 g flour.)
  7. Put the dough into the cupcake molds, filling them halfway. The cheesecakes can be spread directly into the steamer tray, but the dough spreads and they do not look very nice, so it is better to use a double boiler form. Turn on the steamer for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Put the filled molds into the steamer tray and close the lid.
  9. When the cheesecakes are ready, remove the form from the steamer, cool, and remove the cheesecakes from the molds. Top the cheesecakes with strawberries pureed with sugar, or with honey.
  10. Cheesecakes cooked in a double boiler differ in appearance from curd fritters fried in a pan or baked in the oven, but they are very tasty and tender - try it!
