
Strawberry Ice Cream
A homemade strawberry ice cream made with cream, yogurt and condensed milk, brightened with lemon zest and juice.
Ingredients
| 1 cup | 240 ml | strawberries |
| 1 cup | 240 ml | liquid cooking cream (30%) |
| 3/4 cup | 180 ml | yogurt (4.5%) |
| 1/4 cup | 60 ml | sugar |
| 1/4 cup | 60 ml | condensed milk |
| — | grated zest of 1 lemon | |
| — | juice of 1/4 lemon | |
| 1 tsp | 5 ml | vanilla essence |
Instructions
- Clean and wash the strawberries.
- Blend them briefly in a blender.
- Lightly whip the liquid cooking cream with a mixer and add the sugar.
- Add the vanilla essence, grated lemon zest and lemon juice.
- Stir everything until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the yogurt and condensed milk to the mixture.
- Stir the mixture.
- Add the pureed strawberries and stir again.
- Transfer the mixture to a suitable container with a lid.
- Freeze in the freezer until firm.
- During freezing, periodically (every 30 minutes) take out the strawberry ice cream and stir it.
