
Szechwan Shrimp
Quick Szechwan-style shrimp tossed in a sweet-savory sauce of ketchup, soy sauce and honey with green onions and garlic. From sixsistersstuff.com.

Ingredients
| 4 tablespoons | 60 ml | water |
| 2 tablespoons | 30 ml | ketchup |
| 1 tablespoon | 15 ml | soy sauce |
| 2 teaspoons | 10 ml | cornstarch |
| 1 teaspoon | 5 ml | honey |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5 ml | crushed red pepper (optional) |
| 1/4 teaspoon | 1.3 ml | ground ginger |
| 1 tablespoon | 15 ml | vegetable oil |
| 1 bunch | green onions, chopped | |
| 4 cloves | garlic, minced | |
| 12 ounces | 340 g | cooked shrimp |
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, stir together water, ketchup, soy sauce, cornstarch, honey, crushed red pepper, and ground ginger. Set it aside.
- In a large skillet heat oil on medium-high heat.
- Stir in green onions and garlic and cook 1 minute.
- Stir in shrimp and stir so it is covered in the oil.
- Stir in sauce then cook and stir until sauce is bubbly and thickened.
