Ingredients

3 inch squarekombu
1 cup240 mlsugar
1 pinchkosher salt
0.5 pound225 gblack soybeans, rinsed
4 cups960 mlwater
1 tablespoon15 mlsoy sauce

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to the inner pot of your Instant Pot.
  2. Secure the lid. Choose the "Manual" mode and cook for 15 minutes at High pressure. Once cooking is complete, use a natural pressure release for 10 minutes; carefully remove the lid.
  3. Let the beans soak in the sauce for 24 hours. The black soybeans should be soft and glossy.
  4. Cover and refrigerate. Enjoy!
