⏱️ Prep: 25 min🍳 Cook: 40 min
Ingredients
| 3 броя | eggs, for the sheets |
| 1 ч.ч. | cool water |
| 1 с.л. | vinegar |
| 1 ч.л. | salt |
| колкото поеме | flour |
| 1/2 пакетче | cow butter, for brushing |
| около 1/3 ч.ч. | oil |
| — | white cheese, for the filling |
| 8 стръка | parsley |
| — | water, for pouring over |
Instructions
- Mix the eggs with the water, vinegar, salt and gradually the flour. Start kneading until you get a medium-firm dough. Let it rest for about 15 minutes. Then form 10 equal balls from it and roll them into thin sheets.
- For the filling, lightly melt the butter and mix it with the oil. Crumble the cheese. I use about 300 g white brined cheese. Start layering the banitsa in a greased pan - 2 sheets, a little butter and water between them, a third sheet, again butter and a little water, cheese, another sheet, butter, cheese, water and so on until the products are used up. The last sheet is sprinkled only with butter and water. Bake in a preheated oven at 190 degrees.
- As soon as the bathed Turkish banitsa browns, take it out and pour water generously over it (about 2-3 cups). Immediately return the banitsa to the oven and finish baking at 170 degrees until the water is absorbed.
- The finished banitsa is taken out and left to stand for half an hour before you cut it.
