Asian Pork and Noodles Soup / fast ramen
A fast Instant Pot ramen-style soup with pork, peas and quick-cooking ramen noodles in a garlic-ginger chicken broth.
Ingredients
| 2 tsp | 10 ml | sesame oil |
| 2 lb | 905 g | pork, cut into small chunks |
| 12 oz | 340 g | frozen peas |
| 6 cup | 1.4 l | chicken broth |
| 6 | garlic cloves, minced | |
| 1 tsp | 5 ml | ginger |
| 2 Tbs | 30 ml | soy sauce |
| 1 Tbs | 15 ml | hoisin sauce |
| 0.5 tsp | 2.5 ml | crushed red pepper flakes |
| 2 | ramen noodles (3 oz each) packages | |
| — | chopped chives, to garnish |
Instructions
- Turn IP on saute. Add the oil. Once heated, add the pork, garlic and ginger. Saute for a couple of minutes.
- Turn off IP. Add the broth, peas, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and pepper flakes. Give it a good stir, set the lid on with the valve in the sealed position, and set to soup for 7 minutes.
- Do a natural release, then turn off the IP.
- Discard the seasoning packs from the noodles. Break the noodles and add to the soup. Stir and put the lid on for 3 minutes (no need to turn it on, but this will soften the noodles).
- Ladle into bowls and garnish with chopped chives. Enjoy!
