Real Facts: • Chikuzenni is a Japanese dish which originated in Kyushu, Japan. It is made mainly from braised chicken and vegetables and is a traditional meal eaten to celebrate Shogatsu. • The original name of the dish was Game-ni which stemmed from the phrase Game kuri komu, meaning "to collect" because the ingredients were collected and cooked together. • A stew is a combination of solid food ingredients, mainly meat and vegetables, cooked in a liquid, and served with gravy or broth. • Stew has been made throughout human history, as far back as the 8th to 4th BC centuries in Greece.
