
Beef Wine Kebab with Rice

Ingredients

| 4-5 pieces | tomatoes | |
| 3-4 heads | onion | |
| 1 tsp | 5 ml | red pepper (paprika) |
| 1 tsp | 5 ml | black pepper |
| 3-4 pieces | hot peppers | |
| 3/4 cup | 180 ml | oil |
| to taste | salt | |
| 1 cup | 240 ml | red wine |
| 1-2 cups | 240–480 ml | rice |
| 2 pieces | eggs | |
| 1 cup | 240 ml | yogurt |
| 1/2 bunch | parsley | |
| 1 tbsp | 15 ml | vinegar |
Instructions
- Soak the rice in cold water for 1/2 hour and drain it. Put it to cook in a pot on the stove, adding salt and black pepper. Once the rice has boiled, beat the eggs with the yogurt, add the chopped parsley and the vinegar, and stir the whole mixture into the rice. Let it simmer for about 8 minutes, stirring.
- Cut the beef (without fat) into bite-sized pieces, the tomatoes into pieces, the onion finely. Put the beef to braise with a little oil and water. Once it turns white, add the onion and tomatoes, then the red and black pepper as well as the whole hot peppers. Add a little more oil and season with salt.
- After a while add the red wine along with 1/2 cup hot water and leave to braise until the meat is done, stirring from time to time.
- Serve the beef wine kebab over a bed of the rice.
