Ingredients
| 2 cup | 480 ml | jasmine rice, rinsed |
| 15 | dried butterfly pea flowers | |
| 1 cup | 240 ml | coconut milk |
| 1 cup | 240 ml | water |
| 2 | pandan leaves, knotted | |
| 1 tbsp | 15 ml | ginger, sliced |
| to taste | salt | |
| to serve | sambal, fried chicken, fried egg, roasted peanuts, fried anchovies and sliced cucumber, to serve |

- Steep the dried butterfly pea flowers in the hot water for about 10 minutes until the water turns deep blue, then strain out the flowers.
- Add the rinsed jasmine rice, blue water, coconut milk, knotted pandan leaves, sliced ginger and salt to the rice cooker pot. Stir gently.
- Close the lid and cook on the white rice setting until done.
- When cooked, fluff the rice; the grains will be tinged blue. Remove the pandan leaves.
- Serve the nasi lemak with sambal, fried chicken, a fried egg, roasted peanuts, fried anchovies and sliced cucumber.
