
Chinese-Style Rice with Ham and Garlic
Chinese-style fried rice with ham, garlic, peas, scallions, hot red pepper and egg, finished with soy sauce.

Ingredients
| 200 g | long-grain rice | |
| 2 tablespoons | 30 ml | oil |
| 1 head | onion | |
| 3 cloves | garlic | |
| 4 slices | ham | |
| 8 tablespoons | 120 ml | frozen peas |
| 4 | scallions | |
| — | hot red pepper | |
| 4 | eggs | |
| — | soy sauce | |
| — | parsley |
Instructions
- Boil the rice, pour off the remaining water, rinse and drain it.
- Heat the oil over high heat. Fry the onion for 1 minute, add the chopped garlic and cook for the same time. Add the finely chopped ham and the peas and fry them for 1 minute. Add the finely chopped scallions and red pepper and stew for the same length of time. (Fans of spicy food may add a little curry.)
- Pour in the beaten eggs and keep them on the heat for another minute. Finally add a little soy sauce.
- Sprinkle the finished dish with the chopped fresh herb (parsley).
