Ingredients

3 pound1.4 kgpork leg
2garlic cloves, minced
1 bunchgreen onions, chopped
2 tablespoon30 mltamari sauce
2star anise
0.25 cup60 mlShaoxing rice wine
0.5 cup120 mlwater
2 tablespoon30 mlolive oil
0.25 cup60 mltomato paste
1.5 tablespoon23 mlhoney
sea salt and ground black pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon5 mlAleppo red pepper

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients, except for the olive oil and green onions, to a ceramic dish. Cover the dish and place in your refrigerator for 2 hours.
  2. Then, press the "Sauté" button to preheat your Instant Pot. Heat the oil until sizzling. Now, cook the pork until delicately browned on all sides, about 10 minutes. Then, add the marinade.
  3. Secure the lid. Choose the "Meat/Stew" setting and cook at High pressure for 35 minutes. Once cooking is complete, use a natural pressure release; carefully remove the lid.
  4. Add the green onions to the Instant Pot; seal the lid and let it sit approximately 5 minutes. Serve warm.
