Ingredients
| 1/2 head | Napa cabbage, roughly chopped | |
| 1 tbsp | 15 ml | Salt, for taste |
| 1 pound | 455 g | Lean ground pork |
| 1 cup | 240 ml | Scallions, sliced thinly |
| 3/4 cup | 180 ml | Fresh cilantro, minced |
| 3 tbsp | 45 ml | Soy sauce |
| 1 2-inch piece | Fresh ginger, finely grated | |
| 2 tbsp | 30 ml | Sesame oil |
| 2 | Large eggs, whisked thoroughly | |
| 1 12-ounce pack | Round dumpling wrappers |
Instructions
- The first thing you want to do is slice your cabbage and mix it with a touch of salt. Set aside for 5 to 10 minutes. After this time, squeeze out the liquid from your cabbage and transfer to another mixing bowl.
- Mix your cabbage with the rest of your ingredients for your filling until thoroughly combined.
- Next, roll out your dumpling wrappers and drizzle the edges with some water.
- Place your filling by the spoonful into the center of your wrappers and cover. Seal the edges with a fork. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- Then place your dumplings onto a baking sheet and place into your fridge to chill for the next 30 minutes.
- Next, heat up some oil in a large skillet placed over high heat. Once the oil is simmering, add in your dumplings and cook for the next couple of minutes or until brown and golden in color.
- Then reduce the heat to low and continue cooking the dumplings for the next 6 to 8 minutes before removing from heat and enjoying whenever you are ready.
