Coffee Panna Cotta with Chia
Ingredients
| 150 ml (0.6 cup) | good coffee | |
| 250 ml (1 cup) | milk | |
| 100 ml (0.4 cup) | confectioner's cream | |
| 1 tbsp | 15 ml | coffee liqueur |
| 1 packet | gelatin | |
| — | vanilla | |
| 1-2 tbsp | 15–30 ml | chia seeds |
| — | sugar or honey to taste |
Instructions
For the first part of this recipe you'll need only 1/3 of the gelatin. If you don't have a scale you can use a shot glass to split it equally.
- Put 1/3 of the gelatin in a little water to swell a bit and then add it in the previously cooked coffee (sweeten by your taste with sugar or something else), stirring constantly until the gelatin is dissolved. You should be aware that the liquid isn't boiling. After that, add a tbsp of liqueur.
- Separate the liquid in metal cups. Leave the mixture to cool slightly and put the cups into the fridge to fully tighten.
- After the coffee is tightened you start the second part of preparing this recipe. In a saucepan on a heat mix the cream, milk, vanilla and sweeten to taste again. When the mixture is heated, add the remainder of the swollen gelatin (2/3 of the packet) stirring the liquid until the gelatin is complete dissolved. Finally add the Chia seeds.
- Let the mixture cool a bit and add it to the cups, in which is the coffee. Then take them back to the fridge.
- Before serving dip the cups in a lukewarm water for a second. This way you can easily remove the Panna cotta from the cups.
