⏱️ Prep: 15 min🍳 Cook: 10 min
Ingredients
| 2 cups | 480 ml | all-purpose flour |
| 1 tablespoon | 15 ml | sugar |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5 ml | salt |
| 1 teaspoon | 5 ml | instant yeast |
| 3/4 cup | 180 ml | warm milk |
| 2 tablespoons | 30 ml | butter, softened |
| 1/2 cup | 120 ml | shredded cheese (mozzarella or your choice) |
Instructions
- Make the dough: In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast. Pour in the warm milk and mix until a sticky dough forms. Knead in the softened butter until the dough becomes smooth and elastic, about 8-10 minutes.
- First rise: Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Shape the breads: Divide the dough into equal parts. Flatten each piece slightly, place some shredded cheese in the center, and pinch the dough around it to seal. Gently shape into rounds.
- Second rise: Place the breads on a parchment-lined surface, cover lightly, and let rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Cook the breads: Heat a non-stick skillet over low heat. Place the breads seam side down and cover with a lid. Cook gently for 5-6 minutes until golden on the bottom, then flip and cook another 4-5 minutes until both sides are golden and the cheese inside is melted.
- Cool and serve: Let the breads rest for a few minutes before serving warm.
