Fried Beef with Peanuts

Ingredients
| 300 g | beef (from the leg/round) | |
| 70 g | raw peanuts | |
| — | oil | |
| — | lemon (for garnish) | |
| 1 tbsp | 15 ml | soy sauce |
| 2 tbsp | 30 ml | mirin (sweetened sake) or dessert wine |
| 1 tbsp | 15 ml | grated ginger |
| 1 tsp | 5 ml | lemon juice |
| 2 tbsp | 30 ml | cornstarch |

Instructions
- Cut the beef into strips.
- Pour over the marinade made from the listed ingredients (soy sauce, mirin or dessert wine, grated ginger, lemon juice).
- Let it sit in the marinade for about an hour.
- Dissolve the cornstarch in water.
- Dip the meat strips into this mixture and roll them in the crushed peanuts.
- Fry in oil heated to a moderate temperature until the peanuts lightly brown.
- Remove the meat from the fat and drain.
- Serve the fried beef with peanuts garnished with lemon slices.
