Ingredients
| 285 g | Flour (self-raising) | |
| 3.5 tsp | 18 ml | Baking powder |
| 375 g | 0% Greek yoghurt | |
| 0.5 tsp | 2.5 ml | Baking soda |
| a pinch | Salt | |
| 180 g | Low fat cheese | |
| as needed | Cooking spray | |
| 2 tbsp | 30 ml | Light butter |
| 1 tsp | 5 ml | Garlic paste |
| to taste | Chopped parsley |
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, Greek yogurt and a pinch of salt. Mix until it forms clumps and let the dough rest for 5-10 minutes. This allows the flour to hydrate and the gluten to develop, which is essential for the texture of the naan.
- Heat a pan on medium-low and spray with cooking spray. Divide the dough into 4 portions. Roll each portion into a naan shape and place in the pan. Cover with a lid and cook for 1-2 minutes until the naan puffs up. Flip and cook until both sides are golden brown.
- Optional garlic butter: melt the light butter and mix in the garlic paste and chopped parsley. Brush over the cooked naans for an extra flavor boost.
- Storage and reheating: let the naans cool completely, then wrap in foil to store in the fridge or freezer. To reheat from the fridge, unwrap and air fry at 200°C for 4-5 minutes until crispy. From the freezer, air fry for 10-12 minutes at the same temperature.
