
Hot Pot Dumplings
Pork and cabbage dumplings simmered in a shiitake mushroom broth — a comforting Chinese hot pot dish.

Ingredients
| 1/2 lb | 225 g | Ground pork |
| 1/4 cup | 60 ml | Cabbage, chopped |
| 2 tbsp | 30 ml | Green onions, chopped |
| 1 tbsp | 15 ml | Soy sauce |
| 1 tbsp | 15 ml | Sesame oil |
| 1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml | Ginger, grated |
| 1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml | Garlic, minced |
| 1/4 tsp | 1.3 ml | Black pepper |

| 1 tbsp | 15 ml | Cornstarch |
| 4 cups | 960 ml | Chicken or vegetable broth |
| 1/2 cup | 120 ml | Shiitake mushrooms, sliced |

Instructions
- Add the ground pork, chopped cabbage, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, black pepper, and salt into the mixing bowl. Mix well.
- Place a tsp of filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with cornstarch and water. Fold the wrapper over the filling and pinch the edges to seal it into a half-moon shape.
- Add vegetable or chicken broth into the pot and simmer over medium heat. Add the sliced shiitake mushrooms. Let it cook for 5 minutes.
- Place the dumplings into the simmering broth and cook for 8 to 10 minutes.
